All Ears Pouch Zip Pouch Sewing Pattern | Printed Pattern
ABOUT THE SEWING PATTERN:
The All Ears Pouch is a sewing pattern for a small curved top gusseted zip pouch.
The pattern includes four versions:
- Bunny
- Cat
- Mouse
- Crab
It also includes instructions to add a face to any of the pouches using raw edge applique.
SKILL LEVEL:
This pattern is appropriate for a confident beginner or intermediate sewist.
SUPPLIES REQUIRED:
Fabric: Sparkler Collection by Melissa Mortenson for Riley Blake Designs
1 Fat Quarter for Pouch Outside & Ears or Claws
1 Fat Quater for Pouch Lining
Interfacing:
1/2 yard 20” wide Non-Fusible Flex Foam
1/2 yard 20” wide Fusible Fleece
1/2 yard 20” wide Lightweight Interfacing (I prefer Shape Flex)
Optional: 1/4 Yard Heavyweight Interfacing - You can use heavyweight interfacings such as Peltex for the Ear Lining OR Fusible Fleece. The Peltex will make the ears stiffer but can be harder to work with than the Fusible Fleece.
For Bunny or Cat:
One large scrap of ear contrast fabric at least 8” x 8”
For Face:
One large scrap of fabric for eyes
One large scrap of fabric for the nose
Notions:
1/4 yard 1” or 2” wide Grosgrain Ribbon
Paper-backed fusible web for view C & D.
Two 1” buttons for View B
16” or longer Polyester Zipper
Zipper Foot for Sewing Machine
Thread to match eye and nose applique
Black Thread for whiskers
Fabric-safe marking pen or pencil
Fray Check
