The March Bag is a fun purse sewing pattern that features one large exterior "kangaroo style" pocket.

It also has a small interior pocket and an optional magnetic snap closure.

You can customize it to be just your style with one of 4 different handle styles:

• DIY Leather Straps (instructions included)
• Purchased Sew-on Handles

The finished bag is approximately 12" x 16"

1/2 yard for Bag Front/Pocket
1/2 yard for Bag Front/Pocket Lining
1/2 yard for Bag Lining
1/4 yard Bag Band
1/2 yard for Bag Front Contrast & Inside Pocket 1/2 yard Canvas
1 yard 40” wide Fusible Fleece
2 yards 20” wide Shape Flex Interfacing

For View A: Fabric Straps 1/2 yard fabric for Straps
2 yards 1” wide cotton webbing

For view B: Bamboo Handles 2 Bamboo Handles
1 yard of 1/2” wide sturdy ribbon

For view C: Pre-Made Handles 2 Pre-Made Sew On Purse Handles

For view D: Leather Straps 52 inches of 1” wide leather belt blank - you can purchase this at a leather store very inexpensively. 4 grommets (I recommend screw together type)

Hole Punch for Leather same size as the grommets (I use a crop-a-dile, but you can purchase an inexpensive awl that will punch holes at the leather store)
Piece of plastic canvas to reinforce grommets on bag.
