Santa Hat Quilt Block FPP Pattern

J, O & Y Quilt Block FPP Patterns

This quilt is suitable for an advanced beginner. It does feature foundation paper piecing (FPP) and assumes a basic knowledge of FPP.  It would be suitable for someone who is new to FPP.

Pattern instructions are in black and white. 

This quilt is meant to be scrappy.  I’ve included fabric yardage assuming each block has a different background fabric. If you want to make the quilt all from the same print of fabric, use the total yardage measurements. 

Background Blue Fabrics For Santa Hat Blocks:

Total of 5 1/2 yards.

Each Santa Hat Block requires 1/4” yard or 1 fat quarter of fabric. There are 28 Santa Hat Blocks.

Red Fabrics for Santa Hat Blocks:

Total of 1 1/2 yards of fabric.

You can get 5 Santa Hats from 1/4 yard of fabric.

You can get 6 Santa Hats from 1 fat quarter of fabric.

White Fabric for Santa Hat Blocks:

1 Yard
